The top legislator said that over the past 55 years, the ideology and testament of President Ho Chi Minh have always accompanied the country, guiding the entire Party, people, and army to stay steadfast in and loyal to the late leader’s revolutionary ideal and excellently inherit his great revolutionary career to which he devoted his entire life.

He noted throughout the cause of constructing and safeguarding the socialist Fatherland, especially over the nearly 40 years of “Doi moi” (Renewal), by bringing into play the strength of the entire nation and thanks to unceasing efforts and unanimity of generations of cadres, Party members, and people from all social strata, Vietnam has obtained significant and historic achievements.

To carry out the President’s teachings, the Party has paid special attention to the Party building and rectification, considering this a frequent and key task, he said, highlighting improvements of this work at central agencies, which are strategic advisory bodies directly giving advice and also organising the implementation of the Party’s guidelines as well as the State’s policies and laws in almost all important areas.

Man requested that central agencies should keep adhering to the leadership and directions by the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Party Central Committee's Secretariat to comprehensively, harmoniously, and intensively carry out the Party building, firmly uphold the principle of democratic centralism, and promote the leadership and core role of Party organisations.

He asked the agencies to seriously implement the Party Central Committee’s resolutions on the Party building and rectification; adamantly prevent and stringently deal with the cadres and Party members showing degradation in political thought, morality, and lifestyle or signs of self-evolution and self-transformation; and carry out the Politburo’s Conclusion No. 01 on the studying and following of Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, moral example, and style.

They also need to push ahead with strongly reforming Party committees and organisations’ leadership methodology; increase examination and supervision; promote the implementation of the Party’s resolutions and conclusions; and tap into strengths, address weaknesses, prevent wrongdoings, and properly handle complicated issues right at the grassroots level, the NA Chairman added.

Every victory and every stride of Vietnam’s revolution is connected with the enormous dedications by President Ho Chi Minh. The entire Party, people, and people are committed to inheriting his great career; resolutely and persistently fighting to firmly safeguard the Fatherland’s independence, sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity; building Vietnam into a strong, democratic, equitable, and civilised nation with prosperous people; maintaining solidarity and consensus within the Party; promoting the Party building and retification; and continuing to study and follow his ideology, moral example, and style, Man affirmed.

At the conference, participants looked into President Ho Chi Minh’s testament from various aspects to gain an insight into its historical value and stature, pointed out the achievements and lessons gained during the 55 years of implementing the testament at central agencies, and clarified the orientations it gives to Vietnam’s revolution in the current context. They also proposed measures for continuing to effectively carry out the testament at the agencies.

The event was held by the Party Committee of the Central Agencies Bloc in coordination with the President Office, the NA Office, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, and the Su that (Truth) National Political Publishing House./.
