Thailand shortens visa-free stay to 30 days from September 15
Thailand's reduction of the visa-free stay period to 30 days applies to visitors from 60 countries and territories, including China, the US and 27 EU countries.
Resolution marks new policy approach toward overseas Vietnamese
Chairman of the Union of Vietnamese Organisations in Russia Dr. Do Xuan Hoang said the Politburo’s Resolution 23-NQ/TW on overseas Vietnamese (OV) affairs is timely and more comprehensive, better aligned with the rapid evolution of the Vietnamese community abroad after more than two decades under the Politburo’s Resolution 36-NQ/TW issued on March 26, 2004.
Clear step forward in Party’s thinking on overseas Vietnamese affairs
The first is to elevate awareness of the position and role of the Vietnamese community abroad, he said. The resolution reaffirms that overseas Vietnamese are an inseparable part of the Vietnamese nation, while identifying them as one of the country’s important strategic resources, a bridge connecting Vietnam with the world, and partners directly contributing to national construction, development and defence.
