Khanh Hoa mobilises resources to address IUU fishing

In Nam Nha Trang ward, task forces are closely watching fishing vessels, tracking their routes, overseeing arrival and departure procedures, and tracing the origins of seafood. Meanwhile, fishermen’s understanding and adherence to regulation against unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing have steadily improved, reducing the likelihood of vessels entering foreign waters illegally.

ADB approves 1.5 billion USD loan to help Philippines mitigate impact of Middle East conflict

The ADB funding will help the Philippine Government secure fuel supplies, maintain access to electricity, healthcare, food, and medicine at affordable prices, and assist Filipino workers abroad in returning home. The loan is provided through ADB’s Countercyclical Support Facility (CSF), a financial instrument designed to provide rapid budget support to member countries in times of economic shocks.

Chairing the September meeting of the Standing Board of the central steering committee on institution improvement and law enforcement, which also saw the attendance of Politburo members: Prime Minister Le Minh Hung and Standing Member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Tran Cam Tu, General Secretary and President Lam said the effectiveness of lawmaking and enforcement should be measured by the removal of bottlenecks, lower compliance costs, better mobilisation of resources, stronger discipline and the effective protection of the legitimate rights and interests of people and businesses.
