According to Chairman of the local AO victims association Nguyen Hung, many socio-political organisations have joined hands and mobilised resources to support local people affected by the toxins.

From the outset of the year, 16 houses have been constructed while 16,000 gifts have been presented to the victims, he said.

Soc Trang province is now home to over 14,000 AO victims and those exposed to the toxic chemicals; however, nearly 2,200 of whom have received monthly support so far./.
