Vietnamese Ambassador to Belgium Nguyen Van Thao, who is also head of the Vietnamese Delegation to the European Union (EU), praised the late professor’s contributions to the bilateral cooperation, saying the order is to honour his tireless efforts in this regard.
The late professor’s wife Denise Mathy Salmon and his son Yvain Salmon thanked Vietnamese leaders and the embassy for their sentiments to Jean Salmon, saying it is their honour to receive order.
Yvain Salmon highlighted milestones in cooperation between his farther and Vietnamese government agencies.
Late Professor Jean Salmon was a distinguished international law scholar, known for his significant contributions to the research and teaching of international law. He played a key role in various cooperation projects on scientific research, legal consultancy, and high-quality personnel training in Vietnam./.
