Quang Tri: Digitizing information and collecting DNA samples to identify 1,320 martyrs at Ba Doc Cemetery.
On June 9th, at Ba Doc Martyrs' Cemetery, the Steering Committee 515 of Quang Tri province organized the collection of biological samples, digitization of information, and handover of remains of martyrs for DNA testing of graves with incomplete information.
Attending and directing the event was Colonel Truong Viet Hai, Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, and Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the 515 Steering Committee of Quang Tri province. Before carrying out their duties, the delegates respectfully offered incense and observed a moment of silence to express gratitude for the great contributions of the heroic martyrs.
The Ba Doc Martyrs' Cemetery is currently the resting place of 3,126 martyrs, including 1,320 graves whose information is not yet fully identified. During this phase, authorities will collect biological samples from all 1,320 graves. The entire process, from location identification and sample collection to sealing and handover, is scientifically controlled to ensure solemnity. The Provincial Steering Committee 515 requires all forces involved in this special task to be absolutely accurate, preventing any errors, confusion, or cross-contamination between samples.
