The Vietnam Youth and Students Association in Japan (VYSA)’s annual job fair took place in Tokyo on April 19, attracting more than 300 Vietnamese students and recent graduates from universities and vocational schools in Japan.
Supported by the Vietnamese Embassy, the 18th VYSA JOB FAIR 2025 saw the participation of representatives of 11 Japanese companies, sponsors, and Vietnamese associations in Japan.
Speaking at the event, VYSA President Ngo Thi Anh Tuyet expressed her hope that the fair would serve as a vital bridge, helping students directly engage with businesses and identify suitable career prospects.
Vu Thi Lien Huong, who is in charge of the education section at the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan, commended the significance of this annual initiative. She highlighted that the Vietnamese student community in Japan is growing in number and calibre, playing an increasingly important role as a cultural bridge to strengthen the Vietnam-Japan friendship.

On the sidelines of the job fair, there was a second-hand book donation drive for charitable purposes. Participants were also treated to job application editing support in Japanese and experience-sharing sessions from previous generations of Vietnamese professionals in Japan, with topics included adapting to Japanese workplace culture, salary expectations, and employment benefits.
Ikuma Naoko, a representative from MICROS, underscored abundant opportunities for young Vietnamese talents in Japan’s IT sector. She noted that Vietnamese candidates are particularly valued for their proficiency in English and Japanese, as well as their technical skills./.
