Indonesia and Switzerland has held a soft launch of the 2025–2028 Indonesia-Switzerland Development Cooperation Programme to strengthen their five-decade-long strategic partnership.
Indonesian Deputy Minister of National Development Planning Febrian Alphyanto Ruddyard said in a statement on April 23 that the cooperation programme will be officially launched in October 2025.
This collaboration focuses on three main pillars, namely increasing public sector efficiency and economic competitiveness; strengthening human resource capacity through vocational education; and developing sustainable infrastructure, he informed.

The programme is a concrete manifestation of a shared commitment to realising inclusive, sustainable, and adaptive development amid global dynamics, Ruddyard said.
The programme also aligns with Indonesia’s development goals, as outlined in its medium- and long-term plans through to 2045.
"International cooperation is important in supporting the direction of our national development toward Golden Indonesia 2045. We believe that this programme will open up new opportunities, strengthen national competitiveness, and encourage inclusive growth," he said./.
