14th National Congress of Vietnam Women's Union wraps up
The congress set the overall goal of mobilising society to advance gender equality, improve women's material and spiritual well-being, and promote their comprehensive development. By 2030, Vietnamese women are expected to become a key driving force for national development, while the VWU aims to become a pioneering organisation championing women's equality and development.

Vietnam affirms women’s indispensable role in lasting peace
Despite being hit by natural disasters and climate change, Vietnam continues to join the UN Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF), UN peacekeeping operations, ASEAN disaster management cooperation, and deploy search-and-rescue and humanitarian assistance teams to countries affected by disasters and crises, thus translating solidarity into concrete action and ensuring that humanitarian considerations remain at the centre of all response efforts.
Women's congress charts new direction for empowerment, development

ASEAN workshop promotes gender equality in business, human rights

The regional workshop on gender lens perspective on business and human rights in ASEAN from June 30 to July 1 features five discussion panels, including one chaired by Vietnam’s representative to AICHR, Nguyen Thanh Trung, focusing on mainstreaming gender perspectives into policies, processes, mechanisms, and business operations.
