Braving the scorching sun, they remain at the scene searching for the remains of fallen soldiers in Le Thi Rieng Park, Ho Chi Minh City
Despite the hot weather, officers and soldiers remained at the scene, urgently moving soil and expanding the search area for the remains of fallen soldiers in Zone B, Le Thi Rieng Park.

According to a report from the Martyrs' Remains Collection Team of the Ho Chi Minh City Command, on August 12th, forces continued the search and collection of martyrs' remains at the second search location (Area B) in Le Thi Rieng Park.
Throughout the day, the task force continued to remove soil, expanding the search area in Zone B; processing over 200 cubic meters of soil to access areas suspected of containing the remains of fallen soldiers. Due to the large volume of soil accumulated in this area from previous park renovations, the City Command mobilized 3 excavators, 1 dump truck, and 2 3.5-ton trucks to excavate and transport the soil, ensuring the progress of the mission.

On August 12th, the task force discovered and collected 25 sets of remains of fallen soldiers in Zone B, along with 9 sets of accompanying artifacts.
From June 23rd to August 12th, the task force discovered and collected 293 sets of remains of fallen soldiers, of which 167 sets contained artifacts. Specifically, there were 260 individual sets of remains and 33 sets of remains at 8 mass grave sites, including 2 sites in Area A and 6 sites in Area B.

The search and recovery operation at Le Thi Rieng Park was carried out under conditions requiring continuous work by the task force in an area with a large volume of earth piled up. Each layer of soil was carefully removed, sifted, and inspected to ensure no traces, remains, or related artifacts were missed. The large volume of soil to be processed made the work even more arduous, demanding high concentration from officers and soldiers at every stage of the operation.
Despite the scorching heat, the forces remained at the scene, seizing every opportunity to expand the search area. The work was arduous and prolonged, but with a sense of responsibility and gratitude towards the fallen soldiers, the officers and soldiers persevered in their mission, gradually searching for and collecting the remaining remains to return to their comrades and families.
