An Giang: Relatives provided information, Team K93 found the remains of a fallen soldier
After verifying information provided by relatives regarding the burial site of martyr Nguyen Van Minh, Team K93 (Political Department, An Giang Provincial Military Command) found the remains of martyr Nguyen Van Minh.

According to archived records, martyr Nguyen Van Minh, alias Quang, was born in 1945 in Tan An commune, Phu Chau district, An Giang province; his rank was Corporal, and he served in the Phu Chau district army unit. After his death, he was buried in Phu Thuan hamlet, now part of Nhon Hoi commune.
For many years, the family of the fallen soldier has persistently searched for his grave. Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, the nephew of the fallen soldier Nguyen Van Minh, has retrieved relevant documents and records, and also gone to the local area to meet with residents and witnesses to gather information about the soldier's burial place.
Implementing the "500 Days and Nights" campaign, with the motto of accelerating progress while ensuring accuracy and precision, Team K93 intensified the review of records, receiving and verifying information about fallen soldiers and their graves. Based on information from families, combined with archival documents and accounts from local people, the unit organized numerous surveys to pinpoint suspected burial sites.

On August 13th, at coordinates 99949 - 05946, in Phu Thuan hamlet, Nhon Hoi commune, officers and soldiers of Team K93 discovered and collected the remains of a fallen soldier. The discovery location matched several pieces of information previously verified by the unit.
The commander of Team K93, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Xuyen, said: “In implementing the ‘500 Days and Nights’ campaign, the unit determined that every piece of information, no matter how small, had to be thoroughly reviewed and verified. Therefore, upon receiving information about martyr Nguyen Van Minh, we coordinated with the local authorities and residents to conduct multiple surveys and cross-references before organizing the search. The successful discovery of the remains of martyr Nguyen Van Minh is a motivation for officers and soldiers to continue their efforts and determination to search for and gather the remains of martyrs still lying in the area.”

After years of longing to find the grave of his loved one, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, nephew of martyr Nguyen Van Minh, emotionally stated: “Our family has searched for my uncle's grave for many years without success. When we were informed that Team K93 had found the remains in the area that our family and the local people had provided information about, we were deeply moved. This is something our family has been waiting for for a very long time. Our family is very grateful to the officers and soldiers of Team K93, the local authorities, and the people who wholeheartedly supported us during the search.”
The search and repatriation of the remains of martyr Nguyen Van Minh is one of the concrete results of the An Giang Provincial Military Command's "500 Days and Nights" campaign, which focuses on reviewing, verifying information, searching for, and repatriating the remains of martyrs whose information is incomplete or whose remains have not yet been found in the area.
To date, Team K93 has increased the total number of remains of fallen soldiers searched for and collected in this phase to 12. The unit continues to coordinate with Party committees, authorities, veterans, witnesses, and the people to intensify information gathering, verification, and expansion of search areas, contributing to the effective implementation of the "500 Days and Nights" Campaign, and to bring the remaining fallen soldiers back to their comrades, hometowns, and families as soon as possible.
