Xi Jinping said the visit has further enhanced his confidence in Vietnam’s continued prosperity and the happiness of its people, and reaffirmed his belief that the traditional friendship between China and Vietnam will continue to grow stronger and endure for generations to come.
The activities included a Vietnam-China people’s friendly meeting, the launch of the “Red Journey: Youth’s researches and studies,” the inauguration of a new Vietnam–China railway cooperation mechanism, and a photo exhibition celebrating 75 years of diplomatic ties between the two countries.
During the meeting, Chairman of the National Assembly (NA) Tran Thanh Man stressed that Vietnam and China are close neighbours, bound by a longstanding traditional friendship that has been nurtured over generations by the leaders and people of both nations.
PM Chinh expressed appreciation for Xi’s four visits to Vietnam in his capacity as Party General Secretary and President of China, believing that this historic milestone will provide strategic direction and fresh impetus to further foster ties between the two Parties and countries.
The two leaders engaged in in-depth discussions on the situation of each Party and country, the relations between the two Parties and the two countries, as well as regional and international issues of mutual concern.
