The Vietnam Maritime Administration (Vinamarine) under the Ministry of Transport strictly prohibits all acts of taking advantage of emergency situations, storms and floods to raise service prices inconsistent with fluctuations in total costs compared to normal conditions for profiteering.
In order to quickly stabilise production and business activities and the socio-economic situation in localities affected by Typhoon Yagi and its post-storm circulation, Vinamarine director Le Do Muoi has just signed an official dispatch to associations and enterprises in the maritime sector to strictly follow the Law on Prices and declare and list service prices in accordance with regulations in order to avoid affecting the production and business activities of enterprises.
Vinamarine requires enterprises providing services at seaports and those providing container shipping services by sea to strictly comply with regulations on price listing according to current regulations.
The administration strictly prohibits any act of taking advantage of emergency situations, including storms and floods, to increase service prices for profiteering purposes.
