Vietnam seeks deeper cooperation with African countries
Reviewing the historical ties between Vietnam and African countries, the deputy minister stressed that the close relationship was founded in the 1920s by President Ho Chi Minh and African revolutionary leaders. Building on that tradition of solidarity, the two sides have stood side by side throughout their struggles for national independence in the past as well as in the current cause of national construction and development.

Foreign minister welcomes ambassadors of African nations
Vietnamese Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung hosted a reception in Hanoi on May 21 for the Group of African Ambassadors to Vietnam, ahead of the 63rd anniversary of Africa Day (May 25).
State President’s tour hoped to establish new framework in ties with African countries
State President Luong Cuong’s trip once again reaffirmed the Party and State’s foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, diversification and multilateralisation of relations. It also reflected the strong trend of enhanced cooperation among countries of the Global South in shaping a new, more multipolar, fair and equitable world order.
