NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man called on US Ambassador Jennifer Wicks to leverage her role by working closely with Vietnamese authorities to promote all-level mutual visits and meetings, especially between high-ranking leaders, while establishing a regular and substantive dialogue mechanism between the two legislative bodies.

Prime Minister Le Minh Hung receives new US ambassador
The Government leader reaffirmed that Vietnam consistently regards the US as one of its most important partners, supports the US playing a constructive role in promoting peace, stability, and prosperity in the region and the world, and wishes to elevate the Vietnam–US comprehensive strategic partnership to a new level for the benefit of the two countries' people.
US Ambassador awarded Friendship Order
The honour was presented by Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung, on behalf of State President Luong Cuong, at a ceremony in Hanoi. The Order is a prestigious award of the Vietnamese State bestowed upon foreign individuals and collectives for their significant contributions to fostering friendship, solidarity and cooperation between Vietnam and other countries.
