Held every three years, the event, involving senior economic policymakers, addresses key global financial issues.
More than 18,000 participants from 191 countries are expected, including finance ministers, central bank governors, executives from the IMF and World Bank, international media representatives, and civil society representatives. The gatherings are expected to boost short-term spending across various sectors, including hospitality, food, and transportation, while also enhancing Thailand’s international profile and attractiveness to investors.

The event’s branding, “Connecting at the Heart of Finance,” is inspired by traditional Thai fabrics, symbolizing shared solutions and cooperation. The visual identity incorporates a vibrant color palette that represents the diversity of Thailand’s cultural and economic landscape. Thailand will also use the occasion to showcase elements of its soft power, including cuisine, traditional crafts, fashion, and performance arts.
Beyond the immediate economic benefits, Thailand views the meetings as an opportunity to boost trade connections, foster investor trust, and promote long-term tourism. Exposure through global media is expected to introduce Thailand to new audiences and contribute to sustainable tourism growth./.
