The forum provided a platform for academic exchange, policy dialogue and networking among research institutions, policymakers, experts, scholars and relevant organisations from both countries. It also aimed to put forward policy recommendations to further advance the Vietnam–RoK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in the new development phase.

Following General Secretary and State President Tô Lâm’s call to position basic science as a strategic foundation for national development in the 21st century, scientists have affirmed that Vietnam is laying the groundwork for a new development model based on knowledge, people, data, technology and national innovation capacity.
Vietnam, Russia seek to deepen defence cooperation

To elevate bilateral defence cooperation more substantively and effectively in line with agreements reached by senior leaders of both countries, the two sides agreed to continue implementing cooperation contents already agreed upon. Priority areas include effectively carrying out signed cooperation documents; exchanging and signing new agreements in line with the needs of both sides; sharing experience; cooperation in humanitarian mine clearance, military history education and communications; training cooperation; and promoting cooperation between the Vietnam–Russia Tropical Science and Technology Research Centre and units under the Russian Ministry of Defence.
