RoK, Singapore to deepen AI, defence cooperation

The Republic of Korea (RoK) and Singapore discussed cooperation in artificial intelligence (AI), defence, and supply chain management during talks between Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and visiting RoK President Yoon Suk Yeol on October 8.

President Yoon arrived in Singapore on October 7 for a state visit aimed at promoting economic and security cooperation between the two nation.

The visit marks the second leg of his tour of three Southeast Asian nations, following the Philippines and before Laos for the annual ASEAN Summits.

During his stay in Singapore, Yoon is scheduled to meet Singaporean President Tharman Shanmugaratnam, former Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, and participate in a business forum.
