Top Vietnamese leader concludes official visit to Thailand
The two sides pledged to promote economic connectivity in a more complementary and substantive manner, aiming to raise bilateral trade turnover from the current 22 billion USD to 25 billion USD in a balanced and sustainable direction. They also agreed to accelerate licensing procedures and market access for several potential agricultural products.

ASEAN Future Forum 2026 to open on June 9 with expanded agenda: ministry
Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Manh Cuong told reporters that the forum, first proposed by the Vietnamese Prime Minister at the 43rd ASEAN Summit in Indonesia in September 2023, has been successfully organised in 2024 and 2025, gradually establishing itself as an open dialogue platform that effectively complements ASEAN’s formal processes.

Vietnam’s proposals placed the highest priority on ensuring a peaceful and stable environment conducive for continued sustainable development and improving the well-being and happiness of the ASEAN people. They were praised by member states and incorporated into the core contents of the ASEAN Leaders’ Statement on the response to the Middle East crisis.
