Reference exchange rate inches up 9 VND on March 11

Both Vietcombank and BIDV raised their buying and selling rates for the US dollar by 10 VND from March 10.

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,763 VND/USD on March 11, up 9 VND from March 10 morning.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,001 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,525 VND/USD.

At major commercial banks, the opening-hour rates also climbed up.

At 8:25am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 25,340 VND/USD and the selling rate 25,700 VND/USD, both up 10 VND from March 10.

BIDV also raised both rates by 10 VND, listing the buying rate at 25,330 VND/USD and the selling rate at 25,690 VND/USD./.
