An Giang: Candidates for 16th NA met with voters in the communes of Binh My, Chau Phu, Vinh Gia, and O Lam
The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang province, in coordination with the People's Committee of An Giang province and the authorities of Binh My and O Lam communes, organized a meeting between candidates for the 16th National Assembly, term 2026-2031, electoral unit No. 3, and voters from the communes of Binh My, Chau Phu, Vinh Gia, and O Lam on March 10.

The candidates for the 16th National Assembly, constituency No. 3, include: Ms. Vo Ngoc Bich, Member of the Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Logistics Department (An Giang Provincial Police); Mr. Pham Ngoc Hai, Director of the Department of National Defense, Security and Foreign Affairs (under the National Assembly's Committee on National Defense, Security and Foreign Affairs); Ms. Dang Thi Bao Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, President of the Women's Union of Chau Doc Ward (An Giang Province); Mr. Ho Duc Thang, Secretary of the Party Branch, Director of the National Institute of Digital Technology and Digital Transformation (Ministry of Science and Technology); Ms. Pham Huynh Thanh Van, Member of Party Branch 8, Deputy Head of the Faculty of Agriculture - Natural Resources, Head of the Department of Rural Development - Sustainable Agriculture, An Giang University.

Candidates presenting their action programs, if elected to the 16th National Assembly, pledged to fully fulfill the roles, responsibilities, and powers of elected representatives. They also committed to effectively bridging the gap between the central and local governments; paying attention to and proposing specific policies for border regions and ethnic minorities; participating in the development of social welfare policies; and closely monitoring local socio-economic development to propose appropriate mechanisms and policies.

Voters expressed their agreement with and appreciation for the candidates' action programs. Based on that, they made several suggestions regarding issues related to people's lives in the locality.

Voters want continued policies to improve education, address employment issues, and care for people's lives; to increase farmers' incomes and stabilize prices of supplies and fertilizers.
Voters expect that candidates, once elected to the National Assembly, will maintain regular contact with constituents, implement their proposed action programs, and pay attention to attracting investment and expanding and upgrading rural transportation in the province, as well as in disadvantaged areas.
