The candidates for the 16th National Assembly in constituency No. 7 include Ms. Nguyen Quynh Lien, Head of the Democracy, Supervision and Social Criticism Committee, Member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and Vice-Chairman of the Democracy and Law Advisory Council of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Mr. Nguyen Viet Thang, Standing Vice-Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee, concurrently Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Party Committee of the Provincial Party Agencies, and Member of the Law and Justice Committee of the National Assembly; Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Duy Lam, Deputy Head of Professional Department I of the Inspection Committee of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Director of An Bao One-Member Limited Company in Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone; and Ms. Huynh Kim Minh Tam, Head of the Line Management Department of Kien Giang General Hospital.
Presenting their action programs, the candidates emphasized their commitment to participating in the improvement of institutions and laws in a feasible, fair, and practical manner; contributing to the development of policies on science, technology, land, social security, health insurance, and public health care; protecting the rights of women, children, the elderly, and vulnerable groups; and strengthening crime prevention and control, especially online fraud.
In the agricultural sector, the candidates pledged to propose improvements to sustainable aquaculture policies; review agricultural credit and insurance; build a disease and environmental warning system; enhance the value of rice, seafood, fruits, services, tourism, and logistics; and support households, cooperatives, and small businesses to participate more deeply in the value chain. They also proposed prioritizing investment in coastal areas, strengthening seawalls, preventing erosion, and restoring protective forests; and closely monitoring funding for environmental projects and disaster prevention and control.

Voter Danh Nguyen Thang, residing in Kim Quy A2 hamlet, hopes that if elected, the National Assembly candidates will pay attention to and propose to relevant authorities to invest in and upgrade the coastal dike system, which has been dilapidated for many years, in order to protect rice production and aquaculture areas. According to the voter, while the prices of agricultural supplies are constantly rising, agricultural product prices are volatile, and output is unstable, many farmers are still unable to make a living from farming.

Voter Tran Van Hen, residing in Kim Quy B hamlet, hopes that after being elected, National Assembly representatives will propose to the competent authorities to allocate funds to reinforce a 400-meter section of the national defense dike along the Western Sea that is currently eroding, ensuring the safety of production and people's homes.
Voter Tran Thi Tham, residing in Kim Quy B hamlet, proposed that the health sector consider issuing referral letters for medical examination and treatment with a validity period of one year for people aged 60 and above, instead of only valid once, in order to reduce travel difficulties for patients.
