Training skills for first-time candidates for the National Assembly
On February 12th, at the National Assembly building, the Committee on Representative Affairs, in coordination with the Council for Ethnic Minorities and the Committee on Culture and Social Affairs, organized a training conference for first-time candidates for the National Assembly.

The focus was on women, ethnic minorities, and full-time representatives at the central level. The conference in Hanoi followed the one held in Ho Chi Minh City, demonstrating proactive, systematic, and responsible preparation for the quality of National Assembly deputies in the 16th term.

In her opening remarks at the conference, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh stated that in just over a month, voters nationwide will participate in the great national event: the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and representatives to People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term. In the atmosphere of early spring and in preparation for the traditional Lunar New Year, a moment of beginnings and expectations, the people place their trust in a new term for elected bodies – a term of responsibility, action, and aspirations for development.

"The quality of the new term's performance depends first and foremost on the quality of the delegates. Therefore, thorough preparation for candidates, especially those running for the first time, female candidates, and ethnic minority candidates, is of particular importance," the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly affirmed.

Following the conference, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly suggested that each candidate proactively develop a truly persuasive, effective, and feasible action plan; demonstrating the political and ethical commitment of a representative to the people.

The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly also noted that candidates must conduct their election campaigns in accordance with the law, ensuring democracy, transparency, and equality.
