NA Vice Chairman Le Minh Hoan Inspects Election Preparations in Tran Yen Commune
A delegation from the Standing Committee of the National Assembly and the National Election Council, led by Le Minh Hoan, Member of the Party Central Committee and Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, conducted a supervision and inspection visit on election preparations in Tran Yen Commune, Lao Cai Province on 12th January.
The inspection focused on preparations for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2025–2031 term.

Reporting to the delegation, Tran Quang Vinh, Chairman of the Tran Yen Commune People’s Committee and Chairman of the Commune Election Committee, said that immediately after the establishment of the commune-level Steering Committee for election work, local authorities convened meetings to thoroughly disseminate central and provincial directives, regulations, and professional guidelines related to the elections. The Steering Committee reviewed the progress of preparation tasks, discussed key priorities for the coming period, and considered matters under its authority to ensure compliance with the overall election plan.

According to Mr. Vinh, the Party Committee and People’s Committee of Tran Yen Commune have required all cadres, civil servants, and part-time officials involved in election work to fully participate in training sessions on election procedures for National Assembly and People’s Council deputies. These training programs have helped ensure consistent implementation across all levels, while also providing timely guidance and clarification on issues arising during the preparation process.

Representatives of the Tran Yen Commune Party Committee and People’s Council emphasized that election preparations have so far adhered closely to the legal framework and instructions issued by central and provincial authorities. They also noted that coordination among relevant bodies has been strengthened to ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance with deadlines.
Members of the supervision delegation commended the commune for its proactive and methodical approach. They acknowledged that, up to this point, Tran Yen Commune’s election preparations have largely met required standards and followed official guidance. However, delegation members also urged the commune Election Committee to further identify and clarify any difficulties or obstacles encountered in practice. They stressed the need for careful review to ensure consistency and rigor throughout all stages of preparation, as well as regular inspection and supervision to keep the process on schedule.
Concluding the working session, Deputy National Assembly Chairman Le Minh Hoan called on the Tran Yen Commune authorities to continue their role as the level of government closest to the people. He emphasized the importance of staying attuned to the thoughts, aspirations, and concerns of voters, and of promptly addressing any complaints or denunciations that may arise between now and election day.
He also underlined the need to maintain political stability, public security, and social order in the locality while simultaneously carrying out election-related tasks. In addition, he requested the commune Election Committee to continue thoroughly implementing all directives and professional guidance from central and provincial authorities, and to promptly report any emerging issues so that competent bodies can provide timely solutions.
Deputy Chairman Le Minh Hoan further encouraged the commune to strengthen communication and voter outreach activities to create a positive, enthusiastic atmosphere ahead of election day, thereby contributing to the overall success of the elections nationwide.
