Introducing Minister of Agriculture and Environment Tran Duc Thang as a candidate for the 16th NA

The conference was attended by the Deputy Ministers of Agriculture and Environment, along with a large number of voters working in units under the Ministry.

The conference was also attended by representatives from central agencies, including: Mr. Nguyen Anh Duyen, Deputy Director of the General Affairs Department, Central Party Office; Mr. Ta Minh Duc, Deputy Director of Department V, Central Organization Committee; Mr. Bui Thai Trong, Deputy Director of Department I, Central Inspections Election; and Ms. Pham Thi Thu Thuy, Deputy Director of the Department for Monitoring Anti-Corruption and Negative Phenomena, Central Internal Affairs Committee.

At the conference, 100% of the voters present unanimously voted to nominate Minister Tran Duc Thang, Deputy Minister Phung Duc Tien, and Deputy Director of the Department of Water Resources Management and Construction Luong Van Anh as candidates with the necessary qualifications, standards, and prestige to run for the 16th National Assembly.

Commenting on the candidate nominated for the 16th National Assembly, voters affirmed that Comrade Tran Duc Thang, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Member of the Government Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Minister of Agriculture and Environment, is a cadre and Party member with firm political stance, viewpoints, and character; he seriously and consistently strives to improve his qualities, ethics, and lifestyle in accordance with the spirit of Central Resolution 4 (11th and 12th Congresses) in conjunction with "Studying and following the thoughts, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh"; and he has a spirit of unity and consensus within the Party. He maintains a proper, respectful, and open-minded attitude in his interactions with organizations and individuals; he is deeply involved in practical matters; and he is dedicated and responsible in addressing the difficulties faced by organizations and individuals.

Comrade Tran Duc Thang is a well-trained and experienced official, having held many positions and overseen numerous fields at both the central and local levels. He is a leader with strong character and intellect, always dedicated, concerned, and highly responsible in his work. He possesses innovative thinking and a breakthrough approach, and is sensitive in policy responses to immediately address issues arising from the Ministry's management practices and the socio-economic development of the country. He unites, gathers, and leverages the collective intelligence and capabilities of the staff; coordinates and connects the central and local levels to effectively implement the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws in the assigned areas of work; and has the capacity to connect and build cooperative relationships with international partners and organizations.

In his various positions, he, along with the leadership of agencies, units, and localities, has upheld the tradition of unity, comprehensively led and directed Party building work and the implementation of assigned political tasks, achieving many important accomplishments that have been recognized and commended by the Party and the State.

Comrade Tran Duc Thang has successfully completed his duties in many key leadership and management positions at the central and local levels, meeting the requirements set for high-level Party and State leaders. He has good prospects and potential for development, capable of undertaking complex tasks and higher positions, and possesses all the qualities, prestige, capabilities, and conditions of an exemplary National Assembly delegate.

Regarding Comrade Phung Duc Tien, he possesses a firm political stance, viewpoint, and character; he seriously and consistently strives to improve his qualities, ethics, and lifestyle in accordance with the spirit of Central Resolution 4 (11th and 12th Congresses) in conjunction with "Studying and following the thoughts, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh"; he has a spirit of unity and cohesion within the organization; a sense of organizational discipline; a sense of responsibility in fulfilling his assigned duties; and maintains close and harmonious relationships with his comrades and colleagues at work.

Comrade Phung Duc Tien is well-trained, possesses high theoretical and professional qualifications; has held many positions and has rich practical experience; he was a member of the 13th National Assembly (2011-2016); he is a highly responsible, enthusiastic, and serious cadre; he directs and handles work decisively, resolutely, promptly, and effectively. With a very large and complex workload, and many tasks requiring urgent implementation, but with a proactive spirit and high determination, he, together with the former Party Committee, now the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, and the Ministry's leadership, closely followed the Party's Resolutions, Conclusions, and Directives, and the demands of reality to proactively advise on and improve policies, laws, strategies, and plans for the assigned areas and aspects of work.

With his qualifications, capabilities, character, and extensive practical experience, Comrade Phung Duc Tien fully meets the standards and conditions for candidates running for the 16th National Assembly as stipulated.

Comrade Luong Van Anh consistently and strictly adheres to the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and regulations, and the discipline and order of the agency and unit; maintains moral character and lifestyle; consciously cultivates, trains, studies, and follows the moral example of Ho Chi Minh; strictly complies with the assignments of the agency and unit; and maintains unity and cooperation in work.

Comrade Luong Van Anh is a well-trained cadre; he possesses the capacity to organize, direct, and manage work; he has a high sense of responsibility in performing his duties; he is able to coordinate well with other agencies and units; and he demonstrates the role of a leader in directing, managing, and overseeing work.

Over the past period, in his various positions, Comrade Luong Van Anh has demonstrated his professional skills, abilities, and strengths; he has fulfilled the role of a Party member and official in advising, directing, managing, and overseeing; he has advised, directed, and organized the effective implementation of assigned tasks according to work programs and plans, ensuring progress, quality, and efficiency, creating many important and noticeable changes in the assigned fields and tasks. He has promising prospects and potential for development; he meets the general standards for candidates running for the 16th National Assembly as stipulated.

Speaking at the conference, Minister Tran Duc Thang stated that he, along with his colleagues Phung Duc Tien and Luong Van Anh, have always been deeply aware of the role and responsibility of a people's representative, representing the will, aspirations, and right to self-governance of the people before the National Assembly.

If elected by voters to the 16th National Assembly, the delegates pledge to continuously strive to fulfill their responsibilities and duties as representatives of the people to the best of their ability; to participate effectively and responsibly in the activities of the National Assembly; to proactively research and contribute to the institutionalization of the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress and the resolutions of the Politburo, meeting the requirements of national development in the new era; to seriously perform the function of supreme supervision, and to maintain close contact with voters and the people through various forms of voter outreach, conferences, etc.
