Top leader receives newly accredited ambassadors from Portugal, Iran, Mongolia, the US, Myanmar

Party General Secretary and President To Lam received in Hanoi on July 6 the newly accredited ambassadors of Portugal, Iran, Mongolia, the US and Myanmar, as they presented their credentials, officially beginning their diplomatic missions in Vietnam.

Event series honours romanised Vietnamese script pioneer, promotes Vietnam–Portugal exchange

APCV Chair Diane Nguyen Duc Thu Dung said that the initiative aims to pay tribute to missionary Francisco de Pina, one of the early contributors to the formation of the modern writing system of the Vietnamese language (quoc ngu). Beyond its historical significance, the project is expected to serve as a platform to promote cultural exchange and expand cooperation between Vietnam and Portugal across various fields.
Vietnam wants to further deepen multifaceted ties with Portugal: PM

PM Chinh highlighted the historical bonds between the two peoples dating back more than 500 years and described Portugal’s decision to open an embassy in Vietnam as a landmark step, reflecting its determination to strengthen the bilateral ties and create a favourable foundation for cooperation across fields.
