Vietnam strives for substantive outcome at NPT review conference

At the meeting this week, Ambassador Viet briefed the UNGA President on developments during the first two weeks of the conference. He stressed that the current international geopolitical landscape poses numerous complex challenges, while reaffirming Vietnam’s determination, together with other member states, to promote substantive and balanced outcomes at the conference.
Vietnam chairs roundtable on peaceful use of nuclear energy

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang called for strengthened international cooperation in nuclear applications, with a focus on capacity-building, training, technology transfer and mobilisation of sustainable financial resources to support long-term development goals.

Following similar regional consultations for Asia–Pacific countries in Hanoi in last October and African countries in Addis Ababa in last November, this was the third event hosted by Vietnam in preparation for the 2026 NPT Review Conference.
