The value of the local agricultural sector is expected to increase 4-5% this year, and that of high-tech agricultural production set to grow 30-40%, the official stressed.

At the same time, Ninh Thuan will work to lure businesses from other localities to its high-tech agriculture, targeting at least 20 effective high-tech agricultural projects.

Ninh Thuan will earmark nearly 7 billion VND to support 10 high-tech agricultural projects, while enhancing cooperation with centres, research institutes and organisations in and outside the province in selecting production technologies, and plant varieties and animal breeds for production.

It will also roll out credit policies for production facilities, develop personnel in high-tech agriculture, intensify production connectivity, and step up trade promotion, thus turning high-tech agriculture into an economic spearhead, the official said.
