NA Vice Chairman Nguyen Khac Dinh inspects election preparations in Ninh Binh
The Supervisory and Inspection Delegation of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly and the National Election Council, led by Comrade Nguyen Khac Dinh, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, and Member of the National Election Council, held a working session with the Provincial Election Steering Committee and the Ninh Binh Provincial Election Committee on February 27.

The consultative conferences were conducted seriously, following proper procedures, ensuring democracy, objectivity, openness, and transparency; the process of soliciting opinions from voters in their places of residence and work was fully carried out according to the law. Accordingly, 19 National Assembly representatives were elected, with an official list of 35 candidates (9 nominated by the Central Government, 26 nominated by the local government); 85 Provincial People's Council representatives were elected, with an official list of 142 candidates; and 2,776 Commune People's Council representatives were elected, with an official list of 4,560 candidates. Currently, no complaints or denunciations related to candidates or the election process have arisen...

During the meeting, delegates from the central and local levels focused on key issues such as: in-depth training on election management software; additional funding from the central government for election work; promoting digital transformation at the grassroots level; contingency planning for situations arising from the influx of tourists participating in the election; ensuring flexible and lawful voter outreach; and difficulties and obstacles in the preparation process.

Speaking at the working session, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh acknowledged and highly appreciated the province's comprehensive and synchronized election preparation work, which was implemented in accordance with the law and central guiding documents; while also promoting a spirit of democracy, solidarity, proactiveness, and positivity. To date, approximately two-thirds of the required tasks have been urgently directed and organized by the province, creating good consensus; the completed tasks are on schedule, with many completed ahead of schedule.
The comrade emphasized that the time remaining until the election is very short, a crucial period that will determine the success of the election. This momentous political event takes place immediately after the 14th National Congress of the Party, in the context of implementing a two-tiered local government model, with many new requirements for organization and implementation; especially with the preparation time shortened by two months compared to previous elections. Therefore, the tasks set out need to be highly focused, implemented scientifically, urgently, and effectively, while promoting the application of science and technology.
The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly requested the province to continue to closely lead and direct each step and stage, ensuring adherence to the schedule and legal regulations; mobilize experienced grassroots election officials; organize thorough training, strengthen the issuance of documents urging and guiding the completion of election dossiers; review and identify key areas, and develop scenarios for handling emerging situations. At the same time, he urged the province to strictly implement Conclusion No. 03 on continuing to implement Directive No. 46 of the Politburo; prepare personnel well, ensuring the correct structure, composition, and number; promote the application of information technology and digital transformation in elections, ensuring synchronization in management software, equipment, and human resources.
In addition, the province is strengthening its information and propaganda efforts to ensure that the people understand the meaning and importance of the election, creating social consensus; closely monitoring the political security situation and social order; fully preparing for election day; clearly assigning responsibilities to specific individuals, tasks, and duties; and linking guidance with inspection and supervision...

At the meeting, Comrade Tran Huy Tuan, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial Election Committee, affirmed that, with a high sense of responsibility to the Central Government and the people, Ninh Binh province is committed to focusing the highest level of leadership and guidance from the entire political system to successfully organize the election in the province, ensuring democracy, legality, safety, and efficiency.
