NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man Chairs Conference on Nomination of Full-time 16th NA Candidates

Attending the conference were Politburo member, Standing Deputy Secretary of the NA Party Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien, along with several Party Central Committee members who are Vice Chairpersons of the National Assembly and leaders of the NA Party Committee.

At the meeting, participants reviewed and agreed to nominate 145 candidates, including both re-nominated and first-time nominees, to run as full-time deputies of the 16th National Assembly at the central level. This list will serve as the basis for organizing voter consultation conferences at workplaces and for notifying candidates to complete the required nomination dossiers.

The conference also considered and approved the appointment of an Assistant to the Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly.

In his concluding remarks, Chairman Tran Thanh Man assigned the Standing Committee for Deputy Affairs to coordinate with relevant agencies to continue verifying candidate dossiers, finalize the NA Standing Committee’s notification on the list of nominees, and ensure the organization of voter consultation conferences and nomination procedures in accordance with legal regulations and timelines.

He stressed that heads of the Ethnic Council, National Assembly committees and the NA Office must take responsibility for the personnel they nominate. For candidates from enterprises, relevant authorities were tasked with conducting verification and appraisal in strict compliance with regulations to ensure suitability and accuracy.
