Party General Secretary To Lam called on former Special Ambassador for Vietnam-Japan Sugi Ryotaro to further support Vietnam by expanding healthcare and education activities in remote areas, enhancing Vietnam’s global image through Japanese media, maintaining cultural exchange programmes, and strengthening support for the Vietnamese community in Japan.

Speaking at a conference on digital NA and AI application in the NA’s digital transformation held by the NA Office on March 19, the top legislator highlighted the event's significance, demonstrating the NA's determination to advance the application of state-of-the-art technologies to enhance its operational effectiveness and meet the country's development requirements in the new era – the era of the nation’s rise.

President Luong Cuong commended and acknowledged the achievements, proactive efforts, and determination of the Party Organisation, administration, military, and people of Hung Yen in recent times.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung affirmed the positive growth of the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership and community with a shared future that carries strategic significance as well as the importance of the 2025 Year of Vietnam-China Humanistic Exchange programme.

The private sector has not only helped expand production, trade, and services but also made an important contribution to improving labour productivity, promoting innovation, and increasing national competitiveness. The strong rise of many Vietnamese private enterprises has not only enabled them to dominate the domestic market but also gained a foothold in international markets.

Emphasising that socio-economic issues are broad, complicated, highly specialised, and rapidly changing, requiring regular updates and supplements, he suggested further research into new issues and the continued implementation of the policy to streamline the political system, together with a deeper evaluation of the results of the policy, as well as the re-organisation and restructuring of administrative units at all levels.

NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasised that the revolution to streamline the system is entering the second stage with numerous difficulties, urging Soc Trang’s representatives continue to strongly support the initiative. Streamlining the apparatus is to have more resources for development investment and socio-cultural sectors.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh leads a steering committee for key national railway projects, while Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha serves as the committee's standing deputy head, and Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc and Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh as deputy heads.

Seeing institutional frameworks as both "bottleneck of bottlenecks" and "breakthrough of breakthroughs,” Vietnam is mapping out policies to develop the AI and semiconductor industries. The Government has pledged to slash at least 30% of cumbersome administrative procedures, step up decentralisation, enhance implementation capacity, and promote self-resilience and creativity among stakeholders, PM Pham Minh Chinh said.

Discussing new developments in the East Sea, the two sides reaffirmed the need to continue strengthening political trust, calling on all relevant parties to settle disputes on the basis of international law, especially the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).
