Before voting, Chairman of the NA’s Finance-Budget Committee Le Quang Manh briefed the NA on the adjustments that NA Standing Committee had made to the draft resolutions based on NA deputies’ opinions during discussions in groups and in plenary sessions.
The resolution for Nghe An province, with eight articles stipulating the management of finance-state budget, investment, urban area and natural resources, and organisation of local apparatus, was passed with 453 “yes” votes from 461 deputies participating in the voting, or 93.21%.
Meanwhile, the resolution for Da Nang city was adopted with 452 “yes” votes from 459 deputies participating in the voting, or 93%. It contains four chapters with 18 articles, covering the management of finance-state budget, investment, planning, urban areas, resources and environment, attraction of strategic investors to prioritised sectors, establishment of a free-trade area, investment in semiconductor, AI and communications, science and technology management and innovation.
The legislators spent the rest of the morning discussing the revised Cultural Heritage Law. The Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism gave further explanation to the issues raised by NA deputies./.
