Vietnam and Malaysia have agreed to study the possibility of establishing a Halal industrial park in Vietnam.

Malaysia will propose establishing an ASEAN Halal Council as a key agenda item during the ASEAN Summit in October.

Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, who is also Chairman of the National Halal Council, confirmed the council’s formation is crucial for developing the region’s substantial Halal industry potential.
