Leaders pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh, martyrs on National Day

A delegation of the Party Central Committee, the State President, the National Assembly (NA), the Government, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee laid wreaths at President Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum to pay tribute to the late leader on the occasion of the 79th National Day (September 2, 1945-2024) in Hanoi on August 30.

The delegates included Party General Secretary and State President To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man, and President of the VFF Central Committee Do Van Chien.

The leaders showed their respect and deep gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh – a genius leader and national liberation hero who dedicated his entire life to the people and the country, and guided the Party and people to achieve glorious victories.

They committed to following the late President’s testament, making concerted efforts to successfully achieve the goals and tasks set forth in the 13th National Party Congress Resolution so as to lay a solid foundation for even greater development achievements in the new phase, to build a peaceful, independent, democratic, prosperous, advanced, and happy Vietnam, and steadfastly advance towards socialism.

The leaders also laid flowers and offered incense at the Monument for Heroic Martyrs on Bac Son street near the mausoleum.

The same day, delegations from the Central Military Commission - the Ministry of National Defence, the Central Public Security Commission - the Ministry of Public Security, as well as the Party Committee, People’s Council and People’s Committee of Hanoi also paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh and laid flowers at the Monument for Heroic Martyrs./.
