Lao, Cambodian legislative bodies enhance collaboration

The two sides appreciated the strong and close collaboration between Laos and Cambodia as well as their legislative bodies, reflected through the implementation of the contents of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the two legislatures, such as all-level delegation exchanges, and experience sharing.

President of the Lao National Assembly Saysomphone Phomvihane and Cambodian Senate President Samdech Techo Hun Sen held talks in Vientiane on February 6, during which they discussed measures for bilateral cooperation in the coming time.

Speaking highly of the first visit to Laos by the Cambodian Senate President, Saysomphone Phomvihane congratulated the Cambodian people on their achievements in recent years, which have been reflected in political stability, continuous economic growth, improved living standards, and the increasing role and reputation of Cambodia in both the region and the world.

For his part, Hun Sen praised the continuously developing cooperative relationship between the two countries and their legislative bodies.

He emphasised that his visit will make an important contribution to strengthening and further developing the traditional friendship, and comprehensive strategic partnership between Laos and Cambodia.
