Vietnam always treasures bilateral relations with Croatia: FM
Welcoming the first-ever visit to Vietnam by a Croatian foreign minister since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1994, Trung described the trip as a strong signal of Croatia’s commitment to expanding multifaceted cooperation with Vietnam. He affirmed that Vietnam always treasures relations with traditional friends, with Croatia regarded as one of its priority partners in the Balkan region.

Ca Mau accelerates efforts to remove IUU fishing-related warning through vessel data clean-up
There has been significant progress in document management, with Ca Mau successfully tracing all 218 vessels whose registrations have been revoked since 2020, and achieving 100% digitalisation of records for vessels with expired fishing licenses.
Vietnam issues new control procedures to tackle IUU fishing
Under Decision No. 1111/QD-BNNMT issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the new process regulates the inspection and supervision of foreign vessels engaged in fishing, transport or transhipment of seafood when calling at Vietnamese ports for import, temporary import for re-export, transit or transhipment activities.

According to the MAE, as of November 15, a total of 79,360 fishing vessels nationwide had been registered and updated in the national fisheries database (VNFishbase), reaching 100%. The number of licensed vessels stands at 76,811. Vessels found ineligible for operation have been placed under local supervision, with commune- and ward-level authorities assigned to manage their mooring.
