
The Halal Product Assurance Organising Agency (BPJPH) of Indonesia has opened a quota of 1 million free halal certifications (SEHATI) for 2025, targeting micro small and medium enterprises (MSME) across the country.
BPJPH Chairman Ahmad Haikal Hasan said that the opening of the 2025 SEHATI quota is part of the government’s strategy to encourage halal certification for UMK products, aiming to enhance their competitiveness in both domestic and global markets.
Starting April 11, eligible MSMEs can register for the free certification.
BPJPH encourages eligible businesses to register independently for free halal certification, offering a valuable opportunity to ensure that their products meet halal standards while boosting consumer confidence in Indonesia’s halal food and goods market.
The SEHATI programme is directly supported by a nationwide network of 115,450 Halal Product Process Assistants, who help businesses navigate and complete the certification procedures more efficiently. By waiving all fees associated with halal certification, the programme MSMEs to conserve financial resources and focus on business growth.
In addition to easing the certification process, SEHATI also contributes to improved business management, enabling MSMEs to operate more effectively and enhance the market value of their products.
To further streamline procedures, BPJPH has upgraded its Halal Information System, improving data processing capabilities and speeding up certification issuance.
With these major enhancements under SEHATI 2025, Indonesia is moving closer to establishing a comprehensive halal standards system, one that supports MSME development while ensuring transparency and product quality for consumers.
