Over the past five years, the entire army, in collaboration with military-run enterprises, has built and renovated over 43,400 “gratitude houses”, eliminated 9,800 temporary homes for policy beneficiaries, revolution contributors, and poor households at a cost of total 2.43 trillion VND (92.77 million USD), and distributed more than 1,100 savings books worth 6.2 billion VND to families in need.
Martyr identification an order from the heart: PM

Collecting DNA samples of unidentified martyrs’ relatives is a highly humanistic programme that is “an order from the heart” and reflects the sense of responsibility towards the persons laying down their lives for the Fatherland’s independence and freedom, as well as the people’s happiness, said PM Pham Minh Chinh.
