Hanoi to build major park, sports complex in Me Linh commune
Me Linh Park and Sports Complex will feature a park, sports and cultural facilities, including multi-purpose cultural centres and a flower park showcasing Me Linh’s identity.
The complex is envisioned as a modern park and sports zone serving northern Hanoi.
The project is aligned with the Hanoi Master Plan to 2030, with a vision to 2050, as well as the adjustments extending the vision to 2065.
It will feature a park and a complex of sports and cultural facilities, including multi-purpose cultural centres and a flower park showcasing Me Linh’s identity. A key component is a modern and well-integrated bus terminal with synchronised infrastructure and landscape design, contributing to Hanoi’s urban development goals.
The planned site covers more than 604,800 sq.m and is divided into three main functional zones: a park spanning 165,000 sq.m (27.28% of the area), a cultural and sports zone 325,400 sq.m (53.8%), and a service zone 114,400 sq.m (18.91%).
The architectural plan targets a construction density of 7.9%, with building heights ranging from one to three storeys.
The Hanoi Department of Planning and Architecture is tasked with verifying and approving the technical drawings and management regulations in accordance with the city’s decision. Meanwhile, Me Linh commune is responsible for coordinating with the department to publicise the approved plan to relevant agencies and the local community./.
