PM hands over appointment decisions to deputy ministerial-level officials
Tran Duc Thang, Party Central Committee member and Secretary of the Hai Duong provincial Party Committee, was appointed as Standing Deputy Inspector General of Government Inspectorate; while Ho Van Nien, Party Central Committee member and Secretary of the Gia Lai provincial Party Committee, was appointed as Standing Deputy Minister of Ethnic and Religious Affairs.

PM calls for ERIA's support in seeking new growth drivers
PM Pham Minh Chinh requested ERIA to maintain close coordination with Vietnamese agencies and research institutes to promote policy research and consultations, and help the country increase productivity, quality, and competitiveness of the economy, especially in digital transformation, green transition, and circular economy, to contribute to achieving the rapid, sustainable development and double-digit economic growth goals it has set out for the coming decades.

According to Odaily, the Nigerian Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has introduced a draft of the '2024 Investment and Securities Bill' aimed at imposing stringent penalties on individuals convicted of Ponzi scheme crimes. The proposed legislation suggests a maximum fine of $12,000 (20 million Naira) or a 10-year prison sentence for offenders.
