Petrovietnam Ca Mau Fertiliser JSC (PVCFC) has been awarded the Level One certification for Bulk In-Ship Fertiliser exports by the Australian Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry.

Valid through March 7, 2028, this is the highest classification in Australia's import management system for inorganic fertilisers.

The certification signifies comprehensive recognition of Ca Mau’s granular urea fertiliser, which meets stringent standards in biosafety, traceability, infrastructure, and supply chain sustainability. According to the Australian certifying agency, the Ca Mau Fertiliser Plant has demonstrated a strong commitment to maintaining biosecurity integrity across the entire production and export process, fulfilling one of the world’s most rigorous management systems.

Holding a Level One certificate allows PVCFC’s products to bypass inspections at Australian ports, cutting costs and time while enhancing competitiveness. More notably, the Ca Mau urea product is now categorised among the top-tier, qualifying for premium pricing and expedited customs clearance in the Australian market.

This milestone opens doors for the firm to forge long-term partnerships with major agricultural players in Australia and the broader Oceania region, further solidifying its position in the global premium fertiliser segment. In April 2024, PVCFC became the first Vietnamese enterprise licensed by Australia to export fertiliser, laying the foundation for its global market expansion strategy.

As of 2024, PVCFC, a member of the Vietnam National Industry - Energy Group (Petrovietnam), was the only fertiliser company in Vietnam to achieve 'Level Two System Status' in Australia, and it has since advanced to Level One in 2025.

Today, Ca Mau-branded fertilisers are available in nearly 20 countries. With a focus on globalisation, product standardisation, and sustainable development, PVCFC continues to assert its role as a strategic partner in the international fertiliser supply chain.

In the first five months of this year, the company reported estimated revenue of over 5.96 trillion VND (229.6 million USD), up 21% year-on-year, with pre-tax profit reaching 719 billion VND, an increase of 9% compared to the same period in 2024.
