ASEAN Law Forum 2026 to help strengthen AI application in legal, judicial activities
The forum is set to provide a platform for ASEAN countries to share practical experience and seek solutions for the safe and responsible application of AI, contributing to the development of a modern and transparent legal system capable of adapting to the demands of the digital era.
Over 40 youth-led initiatives introduced at International Youth Day 2026
The event, organised by the Youth Advisory Group of the UN in Vietnam, brought together 44 youth groups, social enterprises, educational institutions and UN-supported programmes. Exhibition booths and interactive activities at the event introduced solutions created and led by young people.

Philippines posts record rice imports in first half of 2026

According to the BPI, rice imports from January to June rose 20.1%, or about 460,000 tonnes, from 2.29 million tonnes in the same period last year. The first-half total already accounts for around 57% of the government's full-year import target of 4.8 million tonnes.

At the meeting, Thailand officially handed over the ASEAN-OSHNET chairmanship to Vietnam, while Brunei assumed the vice chairmanship. Vietnam also transferred its role as the network’s Secretariat, which it had held for the 2023–2026 term, to Brunei for the 2026–2029 period.
